This performance features Boston local singer/songwriter Dave Coffin and it’s the CD release show for his latest album The King is Dead.

Dave Coffin’s acoustic charm is directly channeled to make your body move. His latest album The King is Dead features some legendary players including Al Kooper (Bob Dylan, Blood Sweat and Tears) and Duke Levine (Aimee Mann, Mary Chapin Carpenter). The songs on the album manage to be radio friendly while retaining a classy vibe and unique flavor. There is a true level of polish going on here that is always sure to please. The Boston Band Aid

Norwood, MA – Fleming Entertainment, one of Boston’s premier promoters and supporters for the local music community is pleased to announce The Boston Band Aid, a live music show that connects local bands, managers, promoters, vendors and Top Music Industry Experts.

The show will take place on Thursday, June 24 at Hennessy’s Hooley House on 25 Union Street in Boston and will feature the following Boston artists:   Alica Lemke, Denise Hradecky, Call 2 Conscoiusness and August Infinity.  The event is free for all Boston bands, promoters, band managers, vendors, and music industry experts that RSVP 48 hours in advance.
“Fleming Entertainment is looking to connect various members of the Boston Music Industry in an effort to Re-Energize the Boston Music Scene.  We are excited to host the first of a series of these events in Boston.  With music industry experts, bands, promoters, management, venues and vendors working together as a team, we can accomplish this important goal,” said John Fleming, CEO and President of Fleming Entertainment Enterprises.  “The Boston Music Scene is struggling and bands, venues, promoters, vendors are all facing it.  The economy is just an excuse for low attendance.   There are ways to work around the economy so artists can still get their music heard.  The quality of bands in Boston including Mission Hill, Six Day Slide, Air Traffic Controller, Shadwell, Taste, Six Day Slide, 25 Pearl, just to name a few are outstanding.   We don’t need these types of bands moving to other cities when Boston has been a hotbed for the music industry for years.”
